I just popped in here to get out of the rain whilst I was waiting for my partner. I like it! The decor is really funky with a bright turquoise chesterfield style bar. The coffee I had was surprisingly nice and came with a free bottle of room temperature *winning* cucumber water which was deliciously refreshing.
The only thing that let the place down was the array of cakes and pastries set out on the bar looked a little bit lame. I was hoping to be tempted by something but sadly I wasn't.
I think it would be a fab place to come and drink cocktails in the evening though, very swanky!
*Added later on* So although I only gave it 4/5 stars, I came back later on for lunch with aforementioned partner and I have to say, it was really rather nice! We had a scotch egg each, my sage and onion was deliciously herby without being overpowering, my other half had the all day breakfast one which tasted of all the delicious flavours of breakfast, in a really yummy way! We also had the sharing platter for two which actually would have done us without the scotch eggs... well, it would for me but I probably would have had to wrestle him to the ground for the last slice of toast!
Still only 4/5 - sort out your cake situation Roc & Rye and I'll give you a 5 😋
Nice atmosphere although it was completely dead on a Wednesday evening. The sharing board had a nice selection of pie, scotch egg, ham, cheese and olives. Tried one of their signature cocktails which was delicious and very nicely presented, you could tell a lot of thought was put onto creating them. Same goes for the place itself, very funky and nicely decorated.
This is a little secret gem in Manchester. The recent fit out is funky and cool.
Bar staff are fab and drinks / service was great.
It was so good iam going again next week.
