It maybe part of a chain, but the atmosphere is more like that of a sole proprietor type of coffee and snack shop. Staff are friendly and helpful, but as with most retail food premises these days, they do try to 'help' you into extras, hence four stars.

I ended up here quite often because it was situated right below my accommodation. The hot chocolate is just perfect for those cold days and evenings in Manchester. In fact, I preferred their hot chocolate over Starbucks. The 4.0 rating is only for the hot chocolate. Also, if you buy 10 drinks, your 11th one is absolutely free, useful if you visit the place often.
