Fantastic quirky little bar in the centre of the city.
Samuel Smith's, so ridiculous how cheap it is, well under £6 for 2 pints.
Great beer garden (weather permitting obviously)
Inside
1) no dogs (shame) they are catered for outside.
2) no swearing
3 no mobile phones! At all! You might be asked to leave if you don't get off it. They encourage conversation! How novel.
Ancient pub, full of history from the 14th century, even accepts none cash now.
Half the price of the one next door.
The pub offers a diverse selection of beers, which is highly commendable. It embodies the quintessential English pub atmosphere with a pleasant ambiance. The prices are reasonable, especially considering its prime location. In fact, they are more affordable compared to other restaurants and pubs in the city. This establishment is undoubtedly a must-visit destination in Manchester!
Nice priced beer in a nice pub. Unfortunately on our visit just after the new year, the staff decided to leave the front door wide open, when it was 6 degrees outside. So upped sticks to find a warmer pub.
