I took my husband for date night and I was very hopeful about Brasserie Abode as I pass it on my way home from work and the decor looks very stylish and beautiful. The black and white tiles and brass fittings evoke a jazz age ambience that is supported by the music choices. The restaurant is downstairs and the lighting and seating arrangement feels very intimate and cosy. The menu is slightly small but perfectly formed, the only thing I would question is the pricing of the starters at such a similar price point to some of the cheaper mains. We decided to go for some nibbles before the main course, and then dessert. The food was beautifully presented on proper china (no silly boards or slates here!) and condiments and sauces served in porcelain casts of seashells. We opted for the lobster spaghetti and a classic fish and chips, both were delicious - light and crispy batter on the fish was perfect. Both went well with a Picpoul de Pinet from the extensive wine list, a really excellent selection. There is a good range of classic desserts, and sticky toffee pudding sent us home well sated. A lovely meal for two for less than £90. We would definitely recommend and will be going to this restaurant again!
Amazing place. Knowledgeable staff. Food looks delicious and well groomed staff. Definitely go nsck and highly recommend it!
We had a lovely evening celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. We both enjoyed a g&t in the bar followed by an excellent meal and bottle wine. First class food and excellent service from friendly staff.
