Gets very crowded around 6-7pm so best come a little early if possible. Duck is decent and is the most popular item on the menu with practically every table ordering it. The salt and pepper ribs or squid is good too and worth a try. Portions are on the larger side so consider that when ordering.
We visited as a friend wanted to try this place.
We ordered salt pepper pork chops, prawn won tons, three roast rice, duck soup noodles, black bean rib noodles and curry brisket rice.
The three roast portion wasn’t as generous as other restaurants I have been. The char siu was average but the duck and roast pork was nice.
The black been rib noodles had the wok hei, which gave it a really nice flaming flavour.
My least favourite was the noodle soup, it actually tasted a bit off, so was not a fan of it.
Overall I still think it’s overrated and been boosted by Instagram.
Simple the best Chinese in Manchester. I have been coming g here for a number of years and it has always been 10.
This place is really authentic and don’t be expecting fancy food with edible flowers. What sets happy seasons apart is the quality of the food as well as the fantastic friendly service.
Be warned there is always a queue so don’t be alarmed.
The wings are my go to but the seafood dishes along with the roast duck is stunning.
A must if you ever visit Manchester.
