I had a wonderful one night stay (arrived late) the staff were lovely. I had a very late (9.45pm) absolutely delicious best ever falafel burger in the comfortable restaurant. My room was beautifully renovated in this lovely old Hotel.
There was a 'hidden' surprise in the jar by the kettle with the most amazing crumbly Cornish cookies which I discovered and couldn't resist with my Merlot! The Hotel is in a prime location next to all the shops in this beautiful little town.

Food is different and amazing.
Very clean place along with amazing helpful staff.
There is a small free car park on site but also a very large car park behind the building. Which is reasonably price especially after 5pm.
Prime Location of not only a wonderful town /shopping area in the high street but also the beautiful Promenade Park and the River Blackwater with lakes. Parks, a maze and plenty of grassed area for lovely walks.
Perfect place for a lunch or just a catch up with friends. But also with a very interesting menu. Something for everyone including little ones. The food is the best iv tried. Including the desserts. Portion size is just right.
Highly recommend.
There are rooms to stay over for a short break. Also a beautiful & clean function room in a separate area. Perfect for special occasions. There is also an outside seating area. Its a beautiful interesting building. With some lovely views from some higher up parts of the building as River Blackwater is a short walk away.
One of my favourite places to go to. You really should try their sweet potato fries. Best iv ever tasted.
Tonight was our first visit and won't be our last! The food was amazing, goats cheese starters was lovely. The steak was cooked perfect, my Husband had the lamb burger and he said it was very good. The staff very friendly and drinks menu has various, Gins, vodka's, cocktails plus more. Will definitely go back, Nathan our waiter was very pleasant � Thanks for a great meal.
