Great cooked breakfast, yum yum. This old pub is in the lanes in the village of Otham. The whole area is being changed by the new housing estates, not least Bicknor Wood. Good beer. Good service, would definitely come again. Parking not too bad but there's not much space if it was really busy.
Excellent Sunday lunch ( Carvery ) very friendly landlords and staff .showed up on no notice after being turned away from Toby carvery as it was booked out , it ended up that Toby had done us a favour As now we have found this wonderful pub for our Sunday lunch . There was a choice of four meats, pigs in blankets , home made Yorkshire pudding ,crispy and fluffy roast potatoes a selection of seven different vegetables Eg: roast parsnips , mashed carrot and Swede , Brussels sprouts , cabbage , Green beans , peas , carrots , cauliflower cheese As well as stuffing and home-made thick gravy . I wash this All down with my favourite drink , pink gin and lemonade which was served correctly with ice and strawberries my partner had a nice ice cold beer . There was no queueing and apples of meat and potatoes were given to you help yourself to the vegetables ( Nice thick slices of meat ) . A good choice of home-made deserts I had the strawberry Pavlova with loads of cream for desert my partner had a scrumptious apple tart with ice cream but could’ve had home-made custard or fresh cream .
We were not rushed hot from queueing and was made to feel very welcome for the excellent food service we left a £10 tip and shall be visiting most Sundays from now on .
Lovely welcoming people. We stayed for one nights bed and breakfast. The evening meal and breakfast were first class and the room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
