Only here for food and drink. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and would come back here again. Mainstream beers on tap but good selection. Patrons were fairly chatty as well. I'm surprised it was so quiet for a Saturday afternoon, maybe because there are no nearby hikes?
Pictured is the pinwheel sausage and mash. Mash seemed homemade and sausage wasn't too meaty.
First time visiting since the new landlady took over this lovely village pub and wasn't disappointed.
The menu is small but with good options, also a children's menu, I had the chicken curry, and my husband had the fish & and chips, which was a generous portion, mine had plenty of chicken.
Reasonably priced, good atmosphere, lovely landlady, will definitely be repeat customers.
Recently changed hands and the food is really excellent for a country pub. We had three courses each and the fish and chips were some of the best I've had. Staff are efficient and friendly and drink options have improved.
