Have now tried various meals from the menu and each time the meals have been very tasty and thoroughly enjoyed. A lovely place to dine and the staff are all very helpful and polite. 100% recommend.

Wow what a lovely place this is. We travelled up from Plymouth today to celebrate a family Birthday, there were 24 of us ranging from 1yr to 80yrs (the birthday girl!) we were accommodated in the loft so practically our own private party. The food was lovely and the service was amazing, so friendly nothing was too much trouble and it was a beautiful leisurely meal with family. Thank you so much x

Great pub hidden in the corner of Lympstone you'd never know it was there. The mussels starter were delicious and the 8oz steak was great. Overall a great evening out with the family.

The Redwing Inn went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten and garlic allergies. They specially prepared me a delicious bespoke halloumi kebab, not only taking into account my dietary needs but also food preferences. The food was good value, the staff friendly and we were made so welcome. We also took a pretty walk around the village after the meal which I would recommend to anyone else visiting.

The menu was small, and quite traditional - very few gluten free options, BUT the red mullet which I had was beautifully cooked. A very large portion with delicious accompaniments.

I've been eating out in this area for the last 3 months whilst working away from home. My one regret, I didn't discover this place sooner! You walk in to a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of people enjoying themselves, but no rowdiness. Greeted by friendly and polite staff who make you feel welcome. The website says the menu is restricted at the moment due to covid, however they still manage to provide something to suit most tastes. The food itself is simply wonderful! From a delicious carrot, ginger and honey soup to a perfectly cooked steak and a delightful dessert! Simply fantastic. A true pleasure, so much so that that was last night and I'm back tonight for my last meal before heading home!

I sometimes come here with my nan and it has never disappointed. Staff are friendly and there's a cozy but refined atmosphere. I had their special cocktail which had sake and a Japanese melon liqueur which was full of nostalgic flavours as I used to live there. I had duck, which was tasty, a little tough but duck usually is. The vegetables were delicious, tender and flavourful. I had a duck and potato mixed patty of some kind, which was a little too salty for me, but overall a nice meal.

Not been to Red Wing for a while, thanks to covid etc... But so glad we did ... So good to see James and the team again, the food was absolutely fantastic, there was 5 in our group so had a variety of the menu, apple and walnut salad to start delightful fresh & crisp, I had the pork belly..omg it just fell apart, the cod loin was cooked perfectly as was the fish and chips... The gnocchi was very good ... It's so easy to write this review as it was such a top quality experience and one we will definitely be repeating ... I feel a Sunday lunch coming on 😁

The Redwing is probably the best value-for-money restaurant in Devon. They could charge twice as much for food this good, served in such a lovely setting, but somehow manage to maintain very reasonable prices. Service is friendly and efficient, and the interior decor is uniquely stylish. It's easy to get to as well. A 15-minute train ride from Exeter and a short stroll through the beautiful village of Lympstone will bring you here, but if you prefer to drive there's a good-sized carpark.

We had a fantastic family lunch! The food was superb, well presented and good value. The friendly and efficient service enhanced the experience. We booked our table in advance, which was just as well it turned out to be fully booked on the day.
