This morning as I finished my shopping and went to the tills with my overflowing trolley, David the GENTLEMEN on the till was incredibly kind and made me feel instantly calm.
Before I had even put the first item on the conveyor belt, David said to me not to worry and take my time, there was no need to rush and run the risk of dropping something.
He had put some of my items through and I had emptied my trolley, as I began packing the scanned items he patiently wanted until I was ready before beginning again. Again David was very calm and made me feel that I didn't have to rush and get flustered, as can normally happen when trying to pack alot of shopping.
I would like him to be recognised for his kind, patient and friendly manner. I don't normally come into the store as I shop on line and in the past when I have, I've felt rushed, flustered and on occasion a bit of a nuisance. While I'm packing the staff sometimes seem to keep throwing items down until I feel as though I'm drowning, but not today, today was just the opposite. Please pass on my thanks to David, who has restored my Sainsbury's in store shopping pleasure.
Depending on the particular staff on duty the service is either appallingly lethargic or excellent. The food on the other hand is fine. Adding peas to the eggs, ham and chips does it for me !
Good value and food is okay but give yourself time as service is soooo slooowwww
