This was our first visit to Gunton Hall and I have to say, I am very impressed.
The accommodation is excellent, we stayed in a Garden Lodge, it is similar to a mine suite, very comfortable with an outlook over the grounds and lake. The wildlife is not that wild really, I hand fed the ducks and squirrels, the only surprise was they did not knock on the door at 7am for breakfast. Talking about food, the restaurant serves a great selection for breakfast and a good choice of meals at dinner time, it is self service with a member of staff to attend to your drinks.
After dinner we sauntered through to the Lakeview Pavilion Theatre and were shown to our VIP seats, these had the benefit of a good view of the stage plus a member of staff at hand to look after our drinks 🍷. The entertainment was very good with professional singers and excellent sound quality.
The staff in general were extremely helpful and accommodating.
If you are of a certain age and enjoy a few days away, a gentle pace, with everything you need under one roof, this is the place for you. And after all the relaxing you can kick off your shoes and get on the dance floor.
I would highly recommend Gunton Hall for a relaxing break.
Had a great time on a 3 day weekend break. Staff were all outstanding. Food was great. Right next to pleasurewood hills theme park. Lovely walks to Corton Beach. It's not far from Lowestoft
Only two EV charging points though and they are not rapid, it needs more. A full EV car takes many hours to charge.
We had a premier chalet suite which was lovely. Food was good, but being theme nights there wasn't a lot of food choice if you don't like Indian or Asian food. You have a roast or fish ! Being a full buffet, there was also not a lot of choice of starters as there is at other warners where you pick off the menu. There were a lot of dessert choices though. The entertainment on this particular weekend wasn't my taste as they changed what we originally booked. But we had a nice weekend. We enjoyed the archery and the shooting. There is enough to do if you want to get involved.
