So, finally fine dining on our doorstep.. Hampstead has come to Upper Holloway without the pricing. We ordered the sirloin steak, medium, and we received perfection. Cut was quality, cost more than reasonable. The accompaniments displayed well and for me quantity wise, triple cut chips just right, although so delicious I would have, could have easily eaten more!! Sides of greenswith butter and ceaser salad both fresh and tasty and once again reasonably priced. As for desert mmmm the warm cookie with vanilla ice cream.. seriously could have eaten 2 of those.. cooked fresh and not over sugared, the ice cream and display once again pleasing to the eye. Ice cream & sorbet also very nice finish to a lovely meal. Finally the complimentary mushroom soup, and I do not normally do soups, was very tasty also and a nice gesture whilst we waited for our mains. Red wine by the glass, and large bottle of sparkling water washed everything down perfectly. Btw, we were actually on our way, walking to another eatery in Holloway when we passed this classy decored restaurant that I am hoping all the locals will come out and support as the menu is decent and thus far positive eating experience. Can't wait to go back and try the burger!!! UPDATE; Mmmmmm second visit and not disappointed. Starter was prawn and mango salad with a very tasty tangy dressing, my taste buds were woken and not disappointed. Main, ordered a burger, I've been drooling ever since my first visit in anticpatiation. Quality meat perfectyl cooked, served with fresh salad/garnish in a brioche & chips. Seriously, thus far a good quality eatery for a very good price. Next time it's got to be the chicken steak or even something off their special menu, can't wait to revisit.
