Love the sausage rolls. Just wish I could get a dash of tomato sauce to go with it. It's hard to get cheap hot food in London on the go, and this totally ticks the box for me.
Actually I've never had anything other than the sausage roll from Greggs. I have always been satisfied with them and never wanted to try anything else.
Greggs is becoming a UK institution, providing cheap good food to Britain. If only there were more of them, especially with this cost of living crisis.
The staff were super friendly. It was pretty warm in here and I felt sorry for the lady behind the counter as it was a humid summer's day. There's a few public seating bits in front of the store and it is a pleasant thoroughfare.
This store is convenient if you are on the southern end of Covent Garden. If you've never been to a Greggs, I do recommend it!
The service and the pastie i had was good! It's the cheapest place in London to get a bite to eat and have a coffee. No WiFi in store .
I would like to thank Samantha and the staff at 143 The Strand branch, she was so friendly and helpful ( ensuring we got crispy bacon) and interested in our visit to London- we really appreciated her friendliness and the other staff were all smiling and friendly too - thank you all.
