We were lucky enough to secure a reservation at a restaurant serving traditional Indian cuisine during our stay in London. Despite being located in the busy area of Soho, the restaurant provides a serene and cozy atmosphere that feels like a small oasis amid the hustle and bustle.
The restaurant has achieved a remarkable balance between spice and flavor, resulting in every dish being a delightful treat for your palate. The food is cooked to artistic perfection, and every dish is seasoned perfectly, tasting as good as it looks. The flavors of the food complement each other wonderfully, resulting in a delectable fusion that tantalizes your taste buds.
The service is outstanding, with friendly and efficient staff who offer excellent recommendations for the best dishes to order. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the food and the quality of service, which made for one of the best Indian dining experiences I've had outside of India. Both the tandoori chicken and chocolate dessert are exceptional choices.
Our server was extremely helpful and friendly, and the prices are in line with the area. To be honest, our bill was slightly cheaper than I had expected it to be.
Food for excellent and their service was impeccable. Highly recommend the lamb and prawn toast. They have a great selection of drinks and cocktails as well. Better than Dishoom!
This is my third Gunpowder location and once again, it was a great experience. The service is always impeccable and tonight was no exception. We were sat at the back of the restaurant where walls are covered with red velvet curtains. I am already intrigued. I posted a pic of the menu. We had the crab as a small plate and everyone should order it, simply put it is special. For the main pumpkin and shrimps. Both remarkable but the shrimps were another level. For dessert we had the dark chocolate one, a thick ganache which again was very satisfactory. Long story short, book yourself a table and have a great time at the soho gunpowder location! Bravo!
