We have been regular customers way before they got their alcohol license. I feel so sad that they had to change their menu to cope with the demand of the area. I really like their cooked meals like the goulash soup, chicken paprikas, beef stew and the chimney cakes. Langos is good too, I mean they have the garlic flavouring which I wasn't able to find in Budapest.
The Palinka that they sell is good quality. The stuffed pepper with cabbage pickles is the best, hope they bring it back to the menu.
I hope that the business gets better. I totally recommended this place.
Really good dishes at amazing prices. It was my first time having Hungarian food though.
Goulash - 5 stars
Hearty, savoury beef stew that wasn't too salty. Big portion and perfect for a cool night.
Fried shrimp white langos - 4 stars
Good garlicky base. Eat quickly while still hot.
Pork stew with barley egg noodles - 5 stars
My husband loved this.
Having had a disappointing and expensive meal at Gloria yesterday we were all the more taken with this meal that cost 1/3 the price of our meal the night before. A gem!
A charming eatery with delicious Hungarian brunch/lunch/dinner foods, coffees/teas & sweets. Open from 11am, I tried them at brunch yesterday and for dinner today. Delicious both times! For brunch I tried the sweet fried Hungarian style french toast, which was crunchy on the outside, sweet on the inside and filled my tummy! For dinner today, I had the Hungarian spiced meatballs and rosemary chips, with a pickled pepper. The meatballs and chips were great. The pickled stuffed pepper was surprisely good... as I usually avoid pickle, but this was a superb treat. The owners, Zolly and Ferry, gave me a bit of their coconut and chocolate cake for desert free... which was a sweet surprise.
Yummy food and delightfully charming atmosphere and service. Give them a try!
