Impromptu visit here. Nothing extraordinary that would invite you back. That said I enjoyed their crispy chicken. Place is tight for dine in but good services from the staff
I’d heard a few things about Butchies and after my recent ventures to certain fried chicken outlets, I felt obliged to check them out.
It’s located in a pretty obscure spot, but the establishment itself is quite tight. I went for the classic sandwich and some tenders with the seasoned fries.
The classic was actually really nice, with a succulent and juicy inside (chicken) and lightly crunchy outside (coating) that was seasoned well, so your buds were certainly activated by the spices. The confinements were adequate and the burger as a whole was tasty.
The tenders were really tasty as well, as the coating was seasoned perfectly and had a delicious contrast with the meat. I could’ve devoured 9 of them, even with the size they were.
The fries were pretty basic - soft outer skin with a mildly fluffy potato, and the peri-salted seasoning didn’t suffice.
The portions were pretty good, given the price. The auntie doing all the cooking was friendly and working way too hard - as the food took a hefty time to be prepared, cooked and served.
If you like fried chicken and are around Earls Court ends, I’m sure you already know about Butchies, but if you don’t, check them out. It’s worthwhile. 7/10.
Stopped in while on a work trip in London… the Cheesy Rider was amazing!! Only three small tables inside, so keep that in mind
