The food at The Mere Scribbler is top-notch. The menu features classic pub fare as well as more creative dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. I had the pork belly, which were perfectly cooked and came with a generous portion of vegetables and gravy.
The beer selection at The Mere Scribbler is also excellent. They have a wide variety of beers on tap, including both local and international brews.
The service at The Mere Scribbler is friendly and attentive. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and made helpful recommendations. He also made sure our glasses were always full.

A fine modest pub offering a selection of keg beers. The Mere Scribbler overlooks Streatham Common, it offers a small but varied menu for the hungry and has a couple of TVs if there is any sport on offer. Friendly staff and efficient service, a pleasant place to quench your thirst.
Excellent lunch with a large group of families. The food was superb. The customer service was top notch. The food delivery was a little slower than ideal but worth the wait. I wasn’t aware of the beer garden too which is an added bonus. The pub is also dog friendly 🐶👍
