Visited this gaff for the first time yesterday with a few of my friends. I was a little apprehensive because it was a new place and I had convinced everyone to try it. We were all pleasantly surprised at how well prepared and tasty everything was.
I had the beef burger which I didn't expect much from as it didn't cost nearly as much as some of the gourmet burgers I've tried before (I love burgers and consider myself a bit of a burger buff)....I was blown away, almost a whole kilo of juicy soft and tender Patty in a very tasty combination of flavours and garnishes that was totally satisfying.
My friends tried a very generous platter of roast chicken, kebabs, wings and much more and we're very satisfied by the it all.
Fantastic service with fantastic food, can't go wrong at all! I'll be coming back for that burger!
Thanks,
Shaf
I went with my family. If you want to taste what the east end is all about, this is the place. The name attracted me the most. Not your usual name for a restaurant. If you wanted to know what the word Cockney means you haven't got to go far as u are plesently educated with word slangs on the wall. A very nice touch.
The interior is clean, bright and sophisticated a welcomed change to the junk hoarding places near by. A de tangled picture of the London underground map spread across the length of one side of the wall with cabins to accommodate family's and small groups and with seating downstairs you can easily fit large groups .
I needed help with the menu as I wasn't well versed in Cockney. But it was fun learning new words.
We ordered a big burger. Pie and mash , sliders . All the usual stuff u would in the east end of London
The food was superb . U can see and taste all the love and passion for food that went into all the meal we ordered . Don't worry they have a breakfast menu which they also serve all day .
This is not a fast food takeaway place, it's a night out with friends and family to enjoy good food. Something so lacking in Tower Hamlets and this place provides. Pricing is cheap and not at extortionate rates like most burger joints. Walked away full and satisfied and change for dessert which wasn't needed .
There are a few places that make an impact. I walked away with a few new words and an insight to east end Cockney way of life .
highly recommend
Very pleasant and white wall atmosphere dedicated to the map of East London, Recieved a very welcoming service, informed only open for 3 weeks; But what can I say other then the food was especially great; keep up the good work and look forward to being back😊
