So it was a toss up between grabbing lunch here or Benito's hat which is round the corner. I'm not a huge hat wearer but I like bars so I chose this joint based on that factor.
My burrito, as always, started with the rice, of which I wasn't given a huge amount. I was hoping that the lack of rice meant more meat, however this wasn't the case :(
There were two types of pulled pork, however only one listed on the menu, so I asked the difference. I couldn't understand the foreign lady's accent and so asked again, but still didn't manage to catch the difference. It was quite noisy so probably not her fault, I don't have the best hearing anyway. In order not to sound rude I just said il try half of each. She informed me that this wasn't an option, something I thought was a bit strange as I'm assuming they are both the same price due to only one pork option being listed on the board.
The other fillings were the usual you get in burrito places. I went for medium salsa.
The burrito itself was probably the smallest I've had on my Mexican journey through London which was a shame as the price was £6, which is about the going rate.
Taste wise it was alright once I'd added some of the spicy sauce they have on the tables.
A bit of a bigger portion and some friendlier staff would have knocked it up to a 4/5.
Good old big and dirty burrito. They are most certainly not shy with the ingredients or the portion sizes, so well on you. They will charge you for every little extra though.
Maybe it's a Premium Burrito Price Positioning lol.
Funky music in the background and they sell alcohol too, which is a nice touch.
Nice area where the restaurant is located. Friendly staff and a lot of seating area if you got here when it's not packed. They do serve certain meats halal so please check with the staff. Also they except student discount which is a plus.
