Ooh... I found a place to get a pizza when picking up a parcel from the DPS thing next door. Sister restaurant to their main restaurant Lardo. This smaller off-shoot off-shoot offers amazing wood-fired pizzas and daily specials. If I wasn't in a rush I would have tried some of their amazing anti pasti and contorni too. I settled for a very classic anchovy and caper pizza and a bottle of Moretti to wash it down. Miso recommend.
I'm a big fan of eating great pizza for not too much money, and this place fits the bill! My girlfriend and I came here and each had a plain tomato and mozz pizza. It was delicious. And for £7 each, you can have a great meal in an awesome environment. It's a bit of a posh atmosphere, but the fit-out is amazing, the service is really nice, and the pizzas were good (and, if you get the plain one, really good value!).
The food is very tasty and the service good. The pizzas in particular are great - nice crispy bases and interesting selection of toppings. The coffee is average - good beans but not put together with the finesse you would expect. The pricing is definitely higher than many other places locally, whereas the standard is only equal to those cheaper places.
