Polly's sits one hundred meters of Hampstead Heath overground station offering basic dishes and drinks at reasonable prices. At first glance Polly's looks and feels antiquated and tired. If you are after a bright, shinny and modern decor Polly's is definitely not the place for you. The floor space is surprising large, offering plenty of space and privacy.
Polly's is one of these family run places were you order off the menu and get charged fairly. Case in point I walked into Polly's around two in the afternoon and asked if they had omelettes. The response was "not in the menu, but we can make one"! That attitude combined with the very reasonable prices makes for a good establishment if you after the basics.
Polly's is good for couples, groups and individuals looking for fresh juices, breakfast, jacket potatoes and sandwiches.
What a fantastic little cafe. I had the veggie breakfast and it hit the spot just like the meaty ones did back in the day. The lady that served me was kind and attentive. The man who I assume is the chef was stoic and alluring (not in a weird way, just wanted to know more about him). I will recommend Polly's to anyone that's got the hangover from hell and also anyone that's got a craving for a cute homey cafe with fantastic and even better customer service.
Nice and cosy cafe for a quick snack. Very welcoming
