Laid back and tastey. On our first night in London we found ourselves sitting outside at this little unassuming eatery. The appearence was simple and low key, but the menu looked great and the owner (we think) was quite present and very friendly. We ordered from their fixed price menu which gave a great sampling...albeit a tad more food than needed and more expensive...you could keep the bill down by choosing specifically from the menu. The only hiccup was a piece of chicken was undercooked on my kabab...i didnt complain to management about it...just didnt eat it. The food and atmosphere was nice...almost felt like we were in the middle east.
Pleasantly surprised by this little Persian restaurant on my last day in London for a “quick” lunch, as we were in a hurry to catch our train. My wife and I were not familiar with Persian food at all but kept an open mind to try. The owner / host was very friendly and helped us put together quickly a nice set dishes, typical of the Persian types, bread with all sorts of dips. The presentation and the taste of the dishes were excellent, and the price was quite reasonable. Highly recommended to anyone!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in London. I’ve been coming here about seven years and every time I come back, I’m amazed at how delicious the food is and how lovely the staff are.
The lentil soup is out of this world and their homemade naan is incredible — seared on the bottom but slightly chewy. Delicious!
This time I tried the lamb stew with okra and it was really great and of course I had to my my usual stand by, the sis taouk. It was perfect.
The restaurant itself is very low key and unassuming but don’t let that fool you. First rate!
