Always a good laugh. Nothing to serious and the foods ok as well.
This place is my new favourite thing. Board games + great music + great staff has really made this place an oasis amongst Kilburn

❤️ A Kilburn local good for live sport.

The Earl of Derby is perched on a corner half way up busy Kilburn High Road. Getting here is easy, Kilburn Park and Kilburn Tube stations are both a short walk away.
.
This imposing Victorian pub was built in 1869. In recent years the pub has been called ‘The Goose and Granite’, then ‘The Golden Egg’. In 2013 the pub closed after a man accidentally shot himself in the foot in the gents toilets. When it reopened as the Earl of Derby the interior and exterior were extensively refurbished.
.
This cavernous pub has a large single L shaped bar which is on two levels. The lower level has plenty of poser and low level tables and chairs, the rear area was up a few steps, this area has three pool tables, some eclectic furniture and a decorative high ceiling. The servery runs down the righthand side and is a good size.
.
The beer selection was made up of mainstream keg and a few craft options. I decided on a pint of Madri, a decent enough pint that cost less than a fiver. There is no food menu at present.

I arrived at kickoff at 3pm on FA Cup final day to watch the first half. There were a number of security in the pub due to Man Utd/City fans that drink in pubs in Kilburn before heading off to Wembley. The atmosphere was calm with the majority of punters in the front area of the pub watching the match. The service was good, I was served in no time at all.
.
The Earl of Derby was a straight up locals boozer that is a great place to watch live sport and play pool. Looking around the pub you realise that this once was a grand venue, just look up to see why. Worth a look in you fancy watching the footy.
