I have had the liberty of eating Traditional Iranian food both in Dubai and at an Iranian friends home, so when we chose Paradis for our family meal out I was rather skeptical. Needless to say my reservations were wrong! The food at Paradis lived up to tasting of home cooked Iranian food in a beautiful small west end setting. The meat was tender and aromatic, the minced kofta melted in your mouth and the pulao rice was light and flavorsome with the zest of the dry fruits balancing eat bite. Fresh bread was being made in the restaurants vey own traditional fire oven and arriving fresh to the table. The hostess and waiters were fantastic and the service impeccable...this spot is certainly worth a visit when you are in London.
It’s the first time for me to have Persian food. It’s amazing! Unexpectedly, some dishes reminds me of some Chinese cuisines. And I like the restaurant decoration and design very much. Some green and garden feels, plus some art designs. Very cozy atmosphere there. Last but not least, the photo taking area is very impressive as well. You could find me on the wall. Haha 😆
As a regular guest prior to COVID and refurbishment, I have been waiting for Pardis to reopen.
First things first, the food is just as delicious as before and the atmosphere is just as cosy thanks to the charming owner.
Besides some visual uplift, the biggest twist is to the concept. As the owner describes it, the inspiration came from tapas - the menu is very flexible to build many combinations and the portion sizes make it entirely possible to have a great tasting experience without overeating. For me, this is actually 'rightsizing'. The clever serving adds a nice visual experience to the traditional flavours.
