Me and my family had a really fantastic time here!
My mum who is the most fussy eater of all was well satisfied, and the rest of us all loved the quality of ingredients and authenticity of the recipes! Nobody was the least bit disappointed. Portion sizes were generous, and the inclusion of a garlic press, chilli oil, and sesame grinder were all welcome additions to help us season the food as we liked.
The decor was pleasant. I think at peak capacity, this restaurant could get a bit loud or claustrophobic, but there weren't many diners when I went. The benches and seats were comfortable, the tables roomy, and the overall ambiance was quite cool and urban.
Best of all was the service! Everyone was super friendly and helpful and quick. They were patient with the guests in my party who weren't familiar with the menu. They also banged the drum they have to celebrate us coming, which was a lovely touch that made us feel appreciated, too.
It was nice to be welcomed in with a drum beat 😁 the waiters and waitresses were all lovely and welcoming. They explained menu in good detail so it made it easier to order. The cocktails were great too. I thought I could handle three courses but I was wrong haha the ramen was very good and filling. On Sunday's its buy one get one free for sundaes (lol just got the pun🤦🏾♀️) which was a nice addition and tasted very nice.
Amazing steamed buns, fresh ingredients. All cooked by Japanese staff. First time doing chilled noodles and did not like them, but food was high quality. Staff wearing masks, contact less. Plexiglass between tables so felt safer.
Very slow service, came here for the Final Fantasy menu and it took an hour to get any drinks and 3 hours to complete the meal! Food was very nice but I think they should have had more staff working since they knew this menu would be popular especially when they extended it for a further week. Staff were good just not enough of them.
Nice place. And pleasant waiters. This was my first time there, and they asked of any allergies, and made sure I was aware of any potential allergens. You get a hint of the Japanese tradition/culture upon entering the restaurant. My meal was the right amount of spicy.
