Love, love, love this place. Cant see how anyone could give it a 1 star review! The owner is really friendly and a genuine guy. Service is always warm and swift. The food is great. The unhealthy options are a tastey indulgence and the chilli avocado on toast (I like adding a poached egg) is a delightful healthy lunch.
Highly recommended
I live locally and so I know the Retro Cafe quite well. The prices match the local pubs, cafes and restaurants. User going by the "name" My Labrachildren put 1 star for a full english beans and tea for £15 is completely wrong to have put this. It's quite a large full english and if you ask nicely you might get an extra slice of bacon. Also 1 star for just the price, My Labrachildren you walked out and didn't try it... you should have your local guide star taken away.
The hamburger is mega, full of flavour and massive. The pints are quite cheap considering (less than £6), live music twice a week and everyone is super friendly.
The cafe/bar itself isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I like it!
Fantastic lunch - mum had an all day breakfast, while I had the fabulous house burger. They also have an alcohol licence, so nice beers too. AND they have live music on Fridays. A really great place to visit!
