Memoirs Of A Metro Girl

The best vegetarian Sunday roast I've ever had a pub. Friendly service. Great views of the river.
This beautiful riverside pub just next to Barnes bridge station. We went here for a Christmas meal and it was the best one so far. I stuck to the traditional dishes beef vellington, sticky toffee pudding and we had a sea bass starter. Good choice of all drinks. Unfortunately we didn't check that you have to preorder if you want to have food from the Christmas menu so do check that. I think it would be delicious. Now looking forward to give this place another visit in the summer to sit outdoors and enjoy the riverviews. All in all a classy, British pub.
I’ve lived in Barnes, on and off, for thirty years or so. For the last twenty, my home has been on White Hart Lane. Much to most taxi drivers’ consternation, this is not the famous White Hart Lane, home of Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club, in Tottenham, north London, but a tiny villagey high street miles from there, on the border between Mortlake and Barnes, in an area nicknamed Little Chelsea, right by the river Thames, in Southwest London, more or less where the yearly Oxford and Cambridge boat race ends.
