First, thank you Zomato for inviting me to try this place out. As many of the other reviews have said, it's a cute date to do go once... but not again. I went on a Thursday night when they have their magic show. The host was very funny, the acts were pretty original, and I only figured one of the tricks while I watched. All of the staff were nice, as well, and unobtrusive as they brought and cleared food during the show.

The place was a bit cramped as it's in the basement of their restaurant, Layalina. Still, the ambiance was elegant and comfortable.

The food was good, not great. I ordered the chicken for the main dish, which I definitely recommend, and the cocktails were good.

The evening is more about the experience and less about the food. For a one-off, it may be worth a shot depending on your type of humor.

Thanks Zomato for inviting me.

It was a voucher out of the blue, that my girlfriend and I had to try out this establishment.

Establishment -
The place itself is somewhat hard to find. It's the door just next to Shisha place.
A little cramped inside, there's a place for maybe 40 patrons on the main room. But after all this is a Burlesque place on a basement.
The ambiance and lighting make it a very intimate and personal experience.

Food-
It's so very basic. The choice is limited between Starters/Main/Dessert with no more than 10 different dishes.
The food itself looks like basic dishes from a cooking class.
I had the Halloumi cheese, the chicken and a apple pie. Unremarkable stuff.
Drinks, not a large choice of wines, however, as this is a Burlesque place, the cocktails are the main focus. The Champagne cocktail was pretty good

However, leaving aside the food for now, the main show is what you should be going there for.
It is certainly entertaining and might be good to go back with some friends, despite the cost.
A couple of Burlesque dancers, a very good belly dancer and the host is a stand up comedian.

Despite the rating, I beleive it is a good place to go as a one-off.

I have to say thanks for the previous reviews which helped me manage my expectations. I was fearing I could have a disappointment but that didn't happen.
Same as previous comments, I actually missed the door first time. If you come from the main road it will be a little door just before the Lebanese restaurant (nr 2). The lounge itself looks pretty nice and the service was friendly throughout. We were guided to a cosy room - which I knew it wasn't the main one and we got a front table. Again having read the previous reviews I was concerned we would miss the show, but after a while I was like: you know what? I'll enjoy it whatever comes.
I started with the Lebanese wine - because I had seen good reviews and because I had never tried one. I had white (to match my main) and he had the red. Both quite nice.
I went for the Manakish Cheese as a starter, which was way more filling that I was expecting. It's pretty nice actually. Then I went for the salmon with pasta. I would prefer some vegetables with the salmon but nevermind. The salmon was creamy and tasty but not unbelievably good. For the dessert I went for the Baklawas - which I found to be too sweet for me (and I couldn't eat any more at this stage, was feeling too full). The champagne at the end of the meal was also quite nice.
Because I went on a Friday evening, the show was Burlesque. It started at 21h with a comedian which was pretty entertaining and engaging the whole night. As for the Burlesque itself, we had 4 acts (first with the 2 ladies, then one act individually and duet again). It was nice for someone who has never seen it before, but didn't felt that extraordinary either. As a plus we also had an international belly dancer. She was pretty good.
Price wise, the menu is £30 and includes 1 glass of champagne, the show itself is £25 per person. Any drinks will be extra. Also be mindful that there is an additional 12.5% service charge, so it's not cheap!
So overall it was quite an entertaining night. Would not be back for the food, but as some of you said, it's a one-off event and it's a recommended experience. And yes, if you don't want to be engaged avoid the front tables. Normally we don't like to be engaged, we were but it turned out to be quite good fun.
Thanks to Zomato for inviting me
