I've spent this year Kensal Green Cemetery open day with a good group of friends and decided to go all together for a bite and a break at the Manson, ok, a couple of times to be honest. Perfect sunny weather ment the garden was up for a treat and we have been lucky enough to be able to secure a table for all 6 of us in the covered area. We all tryed different dishes and I must admit that we were all really satisfied. There has been only one minor mistake with chips instead of a salad, but we have been really happy with what we got. I treated myself to the Crispy Calamari, tender and crunchy, and the Angus Steak Sandwich with chips, juicy and flavourful, all washed down with a refreshing cider. Delicious!!! The only downside are the prices, somewhat too high for some of the portions you get and for the drinks. The interior is pleasantly cool and has space for a great number of groups. To try.
What a lovely place The Mason's Arms on Kensal Green. Such a welcome from the friendly and knowledgeable staff!! Great beer and a lovely ?mid Victorian building. Screens for the Sporty types and a simple but appetizing menu for the Starving. Plenty of keg ales and ciders +3 cask ales for the real ale drinkers among us. A great pub. X
It was quiet when I visited but the Irish lady behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming. I can imagine it having a good atmosphere of an evening.
Toilets were modern and clean and I would give them an 8/10.
