A very short story: it was the first Sunday of January, just 3 days into 2016 & I had already ordered and demolished a pizza from Basilico. The End. As someone who is conscious of their weight and who usually eats pretty damn healthy, homemade meals, I’m not proud I cracked so early. I am however happy I have found a delicious Vegan pizza in London (for those treat evenings now and again) that delivers to where I live!
We ordered 2 10 inch pizzas from Basilico for delivery, at a cost of £23.40.
I had the margherita with added buffalo mozzarella which was extra cheesy and tasty. My friend had the vegan vegetarian and loved it. The vegan cheese (from Violife) is delicious.
The bases were really nice and crisp, not at all burnt and the topping were generous. Delivery was quick - the food arrived 15 minutes before it was due! And as our order was over £12.50, delivery was free. Under this order value delivery is charged at £2.50.
Tasty, fresh, decently priced proper pizza delivered. And no extra charges for vegan substitutions. Well played Basilico.
Ordered the truffle pizza which was truly truffly and had a delicious soft base but a bit TOO expensive, and the diavolo which could have been more spicy, but was on a traditional crisp base - so a mixed review for the pizza. Delivery was swift which is +ve. Sorbitium ice cream is a MUST TRY, we got the salted caramel - wish this had some chocolate in it, and the elderflower sorbet which was delicious. A super alternative to Papa John's though :)
