We attended during coronation weekend and benefited from the half price offer at the time. The show is the main attraction so foodies can expect standard fairer. Service was quick and we felt lucky to get great seats 🙏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 we loved the cheekiness of the night. Heads up that there's a lot of self-admin to do when you book tickets here. A food form is sent to you via email so you can advise on your choices from the menu so it's difficult to change your order if you make a mistake or need to add an allergy after. This form is important though because it makes the food service smooth so as not to disrupt the show.
I recently capped off a trip to London with a show at Proud City: Drag Bingo hosted by Craig Webb. I cannot recommend this place enough! It was an absolute highlight of my time in the UK. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and the drinks were delicious! The show was BEYOND! Craig is an absolutely incredible host, his voice is stunning, song selection perfection and his hosting skills are warm, charming and cheeky and everything you would want for an incredibly fun night out. He made the crowd feel at ease while also having us laugh out loud through out the night. The Drag show was also so amazing and all of the Queens were gorgeous (special shout out to Baby Face for performing/singing live ORIGINAL music) and speaking of the music, the DJ spun all the best dance hits from the past 5 decades and we were on our feet dancing all night! Bingo is also always such a fun time and the songs they picked for the bingo board were perfect. Will definitely be back to see another show here when Craig is hosting and I recommend anyone looking for great entertainment in the UK go check this place out!
Probably worth splitting this review into sections.
We went as a couple for a fun night out on a Saturday and purchased standee seating with food (not restricted view) for burlesque provocateur.
Performers/artists
Everyone was fantastic. I wouldn't fault them at all and the show was brilliant. From the singing, performance to the tempo and atmosphere where great.
Food
This arrives during the show. We could only order the Bollywood menu as they had 'kitchen issues'. You have to order in advance.
Food was good. Not as hot as I would have liked and there was plenty of time to get this out between performances but it arrived mid show. No terrible but room to improve here. Check the small print you ticket price is 'service charged' and the table has a cover fee also.
Drink
Mixed bag.
Bottles are expensive for what they are.
Cocktails are hit and miss our first round were delicious the second round were half the size (same cocktails) and mostly ice.
Shots (£7 each for tequila)
Cost
Expensive our tickets were £120
Our in venue bill was another £160. We bought drinks, shots and merch but £124 of this was drink (bottle of prosecco, cocktails)
Seats
The stage has a mirrored pillar in the middle. We arrived early and seated whilst the venue was not full. Our view was totally restricted (despite paying for not restricted) I can't see many seats where it wouldn't be. Picture below shows the view we had. I'd say on average we could see half of what was going on.
