This place has a queue out of the door at peak times and with good reason.
Helpful and friendly staff, great food, generous portions.
I order a duck rice and it was so filling I ended up taking half of it home in takeaway containers that they provided freely.
Food was basic in some ways but delicious.
I probably wouldn't recommend as a date restaurant if you're looking to impress someone with the restaurant. But further down the line this will be your joint favourite
If you are a clean freak you might want to reconsider visiting this place, but otherwise they offer the best Szechuan and Chinese food in the area.
Even if you stuff yourself with everything you can manage, you still won't walk out with your pockets empty. On the contrary- a huge very delicious meal will cost you as much as a single dish at any other restaurant.
The decor might have been nice when the place opened, but right now it really needs a retouch, but still it doesn't affect the service. All the staff are very kind and welcoming. They are always ready to explain how a certain dish is prepared to the newcomers.
Overall if you like delicious Chinese food and don't want to spend too much money this is the place to eat.
Was impressed with its vast menu of really authentic Chinese dishes. Not your bog standard sweet&sour. Pigs ears, duck tongue are just some of the more exotic dishes. Had the sizzling beef, spare ribs, duck noodles and it was all really good.
Place is a bit run down, toilets not the best. It could do with a face-lift.
But all in all I recommend it.
