Fantastic cocktails, a deep selection of spirits particularly impressive collection of rums and tequilas. The staff are very knowledgeable and more than comfortable veering from their modern yet eclectic menu. Slightly hidden above the busy exmouth arms it can be missed, often this helps as it is not as busy as one would expect for such a great little bar.
Nice cocktail bar...clubby atmosphere. The drinks are quite unusual and quite expensive. I tried one of their Chelato, which was a mix of tequila, lime and spices. It was tasty, but spicy and original. It can be a good spot for a couple of drinks, but it depends on your tastes. I found my cocktail a bit extreme. In terms of prices, as I said, the place can be costly and you should expect spending 25 £ for two cocktails. Try it out with a couple of friends and ENJOY !!
Looking for somewhere to enjoy a cocktail after dinner at the lovely Bonnie Gull in Exmouth Market, we heard about 5CC and booked a table through their email reservation system.
It's located above the Exmouth Arms boozer and as a classic speakeasy you wouldn't know it was there if you weren't looking for it. A small space, with a few booths and little tables, 5CC serve quality cocktails for around the £9 - £11 mark.
I was excited to see there was a rhubarb based cocktail on the menu, but unfortunately they had run out of rhubarb (gutted!) so kindly offered to make me something of my choice. Explaining my love of sweet and sour long drinks, they fashioned me a pear and ginger concoction which was beautiful. The boy's old fashioned was as he likes it, I still cant get my head round them but each to their own.
There's a couple more bars in the group and would be keen to try the others - all in all an enjoyable experience.
