This is a tiny basement bar, with a single slightly crumbling room and some very well-hidden toilets around the back of the bar. The size means that it's great for intimate gigs or small-sized clubnights, and you definitely won't manage to lose your friends in a place this tiny. The prices are about average, but the bands and nights I've been to there have been excellent.
For an authentic Cuban Timba night head down to the Buffalo Bar on a Monday evening. The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious; the music supplied by DJ Jilm great. You can start the evening with dance classes. Drinks are reasonable too.
I go here every now and then for the cuban salsa on monday nights.
Pros Well priced drinks, good location, friendly crowd and great music, Next door to tube station
Cons I am always a bit nervous about downstairs clubs vis fire hazard, sound could be better, venue is small (intimate?).
