On Saturday afternoon we were definitely beginning to suffer from a bit of cabin fever having spent most of the day inside after an early morning run and a few local errands. We knew we should get out of the house but were completely indecisive over whether to head out for dinner or a quick drink. We flipped a coin. We called a couple of different restaurants to make bookings (they were both fully booked). We ended up on a bus to Catford.
This place is amazing. The interior is pretty basic but the food is reasonably priced, the portions are massive and it tastes fantastic. It's not trying to be fancy and the simpleness of it adds to its charm. Take a seat, order at the counter and five minutes later your food arrives, what more can you ask for?
during my student life in London, this Chinese food joint was one of my most favourite.Tai Won Mein at Catford is a fantabulous place.Nothing fancy about it though, the decor is pretty simple with long wooden benches and canteen like seating arrangements. But the food is simply yummy and very much pocket-friendly.I still remember the starters like golden fried prawns, sesame grilled prawn toast, grilled dumplings and deep fried squids in salt and chilli pepper.Their vermicelli with soups are also mouthwatering. If you are not looking for a wholesome meal, then you can definitely try barbecued roast pork,I assure you you won't be disappointed.personally my favourite was their roast pork and roast duck fried noodles. So,foodies what are you waiting for??Please visit ASAP..Bon Apetit.
