Located in Waterloo bus depot, this hidden gem is definitely worth visiting. It is fairly small, but sells a good array of food, from breakfasts to mains. Catering for the depot (I assume drivers get priority, which is to be expected) it's also open to the public. It's a little confusing to get in, but the entrance is located in Cornwall Street, then through the depot. The cafe is on the right. £5.50 for a full English breakfast in the heart of London is a great price. The staff are polite and the place was clean. Order at the counter and put your dirty dishes in the trolley provided.
No sooner had I stepped closer to the counter than the baked coffee beans welcomes me with its aroma.
A spacious and tidy shop trickles into my eyes, a true classical interior design calling back the days of late 80s’.
Stands there was a staff taking orders patiently with her sunny smiles, mean while the chef at back of the kitchen making full effort for customers.
I had ordered a small breakfast that comes with your everyday beans, fried mushrooms and one sausage alongside with toasties, all in a fair price! The tastes were taken for granted, solid at the best. Dug them in with idle chat of London bus drivers, it’s truly an experience you can never found in any part of the world.
Truly a cafe shop down to a fine art.
