Love Barrafina! Great food with lots of flavours.I recommend the counter seats, you get to see the food getting made. The restaurant is in a great location , right in the Coal Drops Yard next to the canal, with great options for shopping and after food walking. The food is reasonably priced for central London but if you are looking to have more than a few tapas and some drinks be prepared to spend more.Overall, it’s a great experience and would highly recommend it.
Had a fantastic lunch here on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. The chef is a magician and every dish, including the ones others ordered, looked delectable. 10/10 highly recommend!
This place has REALLY tasty, authentic Spanish food with great options for drinks as well.
(I suggest using Google lens to translate the menu if you don't know Spanish)
We ordered quite a few items.
To begin with, for drinks we ordered a bottle of Red wine (Sierra Cantabria), and one Americano (t'was a long day!)
For food, we ordered the ham croquetas (a MUST try),
the "special" croquetas,
pimientos de padron,
Pan con tomate,
Cured Monkfish (MUST try),
Gambas Rojas,
Prawn and piquillo tortilla (Must try)
Patata Bravisimas,
Baby gem and anchovies,
And Gazpacho.
For dessert we had the Crema Catalena (must try).
The food is super filling so we were quite happy. For 4 people, the bill was about 60-70 per person.
Overall it was a good experience.. great ambience as well!
Also, I suggest booking a table before hand, this place gets crowded. We had to wait for about 15-20 minutes, even with our reservation since it was really that crowded. No complaints though - the Coal Yard area is quite beautiful and one can explore the place..
