Being brought up a true cockney on this wonderful and totally traditional true cockney food, It's my Favorite, And this pie shop is the Best. If your not a cockney and you were not brought up on this food you just wouldn't understand. It's an east end tradition. It is not to everyone's pallet, just like foie gras or caviar isn't to mine.

Finally tried the oldest and the first (obviously) fast food restaurant in London. Found this place on YouTube and had been forced to try. Was reluctant at first because the review on Zomato wasn’t convincing but F. Cooke has good reputation on Google so I decided to give it a chance. Loved the pie! Gravy was a bit strange if you eat it alone but it tasted nice when you mix with the pie and mash.

I have been to this place quite a couple of times and I'm very much in love with this place.I have been a regular here and all I can say about this place is that they serve amazing food. Great quality and generous portions, good ambiance and located in a very interesting area. Recommended.
