Great place once you work out the system.
Firstly I love the charm of this area; perfectly preserved streets of Georgian workers’ cottages that thankfully survived the Blitz, the expansion of nearby Waterloo Station, and (worst of all) property developers! Thankfully it’s now all part of a conservation area.
The cherry on the cake is this lovely Grade II listed pub, serving a great selection of well-kept real ales. The only reminder that we’re in more modern times is the Thai food menu! Although traditional English pub grub would be more in keeping with the ‘feel’ of both the pub and the area, the food did look very good.
Really friendly staff and clientele; a must visit if you’re in the area!
A small pub on the ground floor but you would not feel packed. The size is just right for drinking and chatting with close friends. It goes without saying that their Thai dishes are second to none if one looks to the authentic oriental cooking styles, ie more of spicy and salty and less sweet and sour. Those coming from Asia will see what I mean.
