We were super hungry when we got here and were lucky to be seated straight away on a Friday evening. We shared the chicken wings and a noodle salad and left completely stuffed! The salad bowls are massive and are really lovely and fresh and the chicken was by far one of the best wings I’ve had. Definitely would return.
Salvation in Noodles might not have the shiniest service, but it’s a fully acceptable hipster Vietnamese option. Finsbury Park doesn’t have the most numerous eating options, so it’s a fair choice for when you need it. For me, Salvation in Noodles (also self-referential as SIN), is a handy backup for the likes of Dotori, and when I need something that’s slightly less shameful than Eden’s Cottage. I do love the place though.
Went in one day and wasn't greeted properly by the lady staff eventhough I was just standing right in front of her, so I asked if I can just sit anywhere? She didn't even look at me and replied' yeah anywhere, here or the bar is fine' but obviously it was only 12pm who would sit at the bar lol. But I was quickly served by a gentleman called Sam who did great job with his customer service. So when I was having the noodles, that lady was speaking quite loud in the shop too, I mean probably not entirely her fault as it wasn't a big shop, it's just not the atmosphere I expected there. Right, for the pho that I ordered, I had the chicken pho but it wasn't great, I won't say it's bad either, it's really so so as the noodles were not the soft noodles I thought it would be, also the broth not as flavourful. But one thing I have to praise for the broth is that I didn't feel that thirsty like I normally do with other Vietnamese foods. So less MSG I guess? Hence, the rating of 3.5.
