Went there last night, Saw some negative reviews on here from a while back but thought we'd give it a go as we love sushi.
The place looked great, Seated straight away and the staff took our order straight away and starter and drinks arrived very quickly as did our main order which was incredibly quick to arrive. We kept adding to our order which the staff were happy to oblige.
Food was great really nice sushi and decent sized portions at a reasonable price.
Already looking forward to going again.
They've had a refresh since I was last here, slight improvement with a new lick of paint and a couple (really just a couple!) Bit of decoration!
They seemed to have diversified the staff a bit too, gone were most of the old staff and along with the new (for me!) Slightly slow but got the job done.
Food was great to a point, the starter was excellent the main was good although it was more fusion that Asian! Was not expecting that!! The pasta was spaghetti and not noodles (big difference!) Hard to eat with a chopstick but I did my best to get a fork which took around 4 minutes while my food was cooling by the second.
It was nice but kinda wished I kept to my usual bento box as they never fail on that.
Overall pretty decent and it's nice to see it brighter and less drab
Really like this Japanese restaurant, lots of good options - including for vegetarian and gluten free. The crispy salmon-skin rolls are a favourite, and the bento boxes are very filling.
Dissapointly the wine is hugely overpriced - the house red is just very cheap stuff priced far too high - but if you drink beer or soft drinks this does not matter.
