In the City of London, you find “Fish & Chips” almost at every corner, especially in the compound of Tower of London. There are couple of take away outlets offering varied deals for this famous delicacy.
Being a newbie in the town and having no clue as to which outlet should I go to try this famous dish so I thought of deciding on the basis of the crowd. The Ted’s fish & chips was fully loaded with people and like the other locals and tourists I too joined the queue to order Fish & Chips.
I am not sure whether it was the best Fish & Chips or not but for a first timer, it indeed was a good option. They hardly took seconds to serve the entire dish, they had deep fried fishes ready to serve with steaming hot French fries and variety of dips and there you have in your hand your very own “Fish & Chips”
The crispy fish with mayo, mustard, tartar sauce and those big French fries acted as a good appetizer (I still wonder why they call it chips? Chips are supposedly thinner!).
The ice cream was attractive enough and we tried one. All this costed 10GBP which is a decent amount.

£13.50 is quite a lot for fish and chips but not bad considering the location, right next to the Tower of London. If you’re a tourist then this is a great option. Take your fish and chips a short walk down to the benches overlooking the Thames for a picturesque lunch.
