The location is convenient of you are running some errands at Selfridges or on Oxford street. The coffees are great, and I find the portion/price as fair as opposed to the quality of the food and drinks. Arrive a bit early to get a chance to choose from the selection of croissants, sandwiches and pastries!. What is lovely about the St. Christpher brand is sitting at the ground floor and watching people whilst having your coffee. I am not very fund of the lower level... or try to get your order to go!
I've neglected Apostrophe since the rise of the cool indie coffee cafe (what a tongue twister) but I was plenty surprised when I went back this weekend. Staff were really charming and, whilst the coffee isn't quite as great as at Workshop, the thick European hot chocolate that you have to eat with a spoon made up for it. It's definitely a cut above the usual chains, with sofas, newspapers, mint and lemon flavoured water for free, and a great selection of soft drinks. The sandwich I had was great; crusty bread, olive tapenade and roasted veg. You'd never believe this was about a minute's walk from stressy old Oxford Street.
This 5 star is for their delicious hot chocolate. Dont forget to try out!!!! The taste hasnt changed for last 10 years!
