Having to spend some time before meeting a friend on Holloway, I decided to have a proper breakfast and have finally given a try to this café.
Very clean and tidy, in contrast with many greasy spoons, I was pleasantly greeted by the lovely staff, immediately dealt with and served as soon as possible, a very positive note on the service.
The food is nice, everything was pipping hot, and the portions on the big side. No issues in dealing with my allergies and always a smile on.
The prices are more than reasonable, making it an excellent choice if you are on a budget and need to fill up.
Decided to have a F&C dinner for 2. Bought 1 small, 1 large (the difference is just £1 between the two) and a large fries.
Fish was really good. Light batter, chunky moist fish. Not oily at all but with a crunchy outside all over. Chips were good as well. Portions are generous and we couldn’t finish the lot. Will definitely go back again as soon. Next time will also get f&c for the kids (one small should be enough to serve both).
Really happy we’ve tried them.
Such a lovely local cafe with really friendly members of staff. They're very accessible and have a range of clients and it's a great place to go for an informal lunch, breakfast or brunch. I usually have their roast beef, or lamb and the fresh veg is delicious. For £6 it's a great homely cooked meal.
My husband's tried their spagbol and it was also delicious. They have a range of meals from fish and chips to pork chops, salmon and lots of fresh meats in their food counter. Very good value for money and fresh food what more could you want. We absolutely love this place and regularly come here of a weekend. They have a lot of great offers on which I've taken images of and included their pies also look delicious.
