I was in the neighborhood and was on my way to the bus stop when torrential rain happened and it was raining for a while. Popped in to Gail; and grab coffee and a pastry..
Staff are friendly and had a interesting conversation with one of the staff, that she never tried the almond chocolate croissant.
It's a cute cafe with outdoor seating on the backside and right in front the bakery is a fire station.
Sat there and enjoyed show when the firemen was practicing the fire alarm drill ..or whatever you want to call it.
This cafe allowed dogs inside as well.
Walking distance to tube station in 10min and various bus stops.
Good selection of baked goods and nice coffee.
Always busy but service is generally quick and the staff are very friendly.
It is pricey , especially if you’re sitting in. And there’s not a lot of seating choices.
Perfect for picking up a coffee and a croissant!
Gail’s Baker in Clapham old town is our favourite. The staff are always welcoming, helpful and friendly. Over lock down there was a bit of a queue sometimes but it didn’t last long Abs was always worth the wait when you could pick up a fresh baked treat and a hot, or iced, coffee. We are longing for the return of their brunch menu, particularly the eggs and bacon on English muffins that are delicious. Until their return the Ham and cheese croissant or a French baguette are the winners!
