This pub was exactly as advertised and expected. We had a late dinner on Monday night after our first day in London. We walked upstairs to the dining room, seated ourselves in the corner window booth, reviewed the menu, and ordered at the bar. The bartender on duty was friendly and brought us our utensils and sauces caddy.
My father and I split the 5 starters for £27.50 and it was more than enough food. Korean fried chicken, sausage rolls, pretzel, plant-based nuggets, and houmous and flatbread. Everything was very tasty! I also got a draft cider and they offered tap water on the sideboard.
Music was the perfect volume, windows were opened for a breeze, and it was walking distance from our hotel.
The steak and pie was awesome. Top 5 of my life. The crust was flaky and moist and the gravy was fantastic. Great atmosphere, fast service, and excellent food.
The fish and chips were great, and my kids loved the Mac n cheese, fries, and pretzel.
Couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Top bar for any Chelsea fans ! They actually ask you at the door if you’re a home team supporter. The food was generously portioned and the marmite potatoes were outstanding ! They had a variety of beers which I strongly recommend.
The restaurant is aesthetic and creative and definitely worth visiting.
The only downfall was some of the staff were incredibly rude and unwelcoming !
