Love this place. Hidden away. Always a delight and a good place to rest away from the maddness of central london. I love the mango sundae best. Seriously yum.
Blink and you'll miss it but this hidden Asian dessert parlour is pretty good place to visit after a meal in Chinatown. Glad we stumbled upon it. I recommend the Mango Lover and am keen to come back to try their crepes, waffles and bubble tea.
Hidden gem located upstairs on Macclesfield St in Chinatown. Only small and gets very busy so you may have to wait to be seated.
It's worth the wait.
The pancakes are heaven on a plate. Served warm with your choice of filling and topped with ice-cream. So moreish you can't stop eating until it's all gone.
They also serve bubble tea here.
BEST FOR: Sweet treat
Chinatown has been catching up with the rest of the world; the addition of dessert cafes is another step forward. So far I have spotted two; they are small, serve only speciality drinks and desserts, and attract clusters of youngsters around the clock. Candy’s café is hidden on the first floor with a modest entrance to the staircase between Leong’s Legend and Rasa Sayang in Chinatown. The brightly lit staircase leads to a small room with non-existent décor; a plasma TV showing Cantopop music videos and crowded wooden tables. For the three or four times I visited, I haven’t had the misfortune of waiting for a table on the stairs, but I wouldn’t be surprised given it’s been full-house each time.

...It was absolutely delicious the Taiwanese tea was different to hk style tea, the pudding was also taiwanese style.
Candy Cafe serves a diversed range of desserts that are popular in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Bubble tea is just one of them.
The mango pudding tastes great! They have student discounts as well. The portion is large and satisfactory.
Its quite a bother that every person sitting has to get something to purchase (we can't share one thing) while takeout portions are smaller than the ones they give in-store. You'd be charged a 2 pound sitting fee if you're not purchasing anything, which I find strange.
Absolutely speechless to say the least. Candy cafe offers a variety of unique and interesting desserts, consisting of sago, jelly and various fruits as well as more traditional desserts like crepes and waffles. There is definitely something here for everyone. Personally I can recommend the mango lao
The sweet dessert makes us feel like we have gone back to Hong Kong. It's an authentic style of Hong Kong dessert. The taste is good and also cheap. I would definitely come back again after having dinner at Chinatown. That would be a perfect day. Recommended for someone like durian, they serve durian dessert which is extremely good.
This place reminds me of my childhood snack bars I used to go after school 😚
Nice variety of desserts varying from Korean to Hong Kong, I normally come here for Bingsu.
I believe it is totally reasonable for them to oblige one person one menu policy as they are in a very central place with cheap menus.
First of all, forgot the person who served us but think he’s the owner - AMAZING service, he joked around with us and recommended us a few items! The cafe in general is quite spacious but we went on a Friday night and there was a group of 6 who were incredibly loud which did not help with the atmosphere.
Seafood noodles, vegetable gyoza and I think it was De Lychee Shaved Ice Dessert.
Only downside was that I was expecting extra table toppings such as chilli/oil to mix into the noodles to alter it to my taste but none the less, I’d definitely come back!! Spent £19.20 in general between two people.
