Good place to enjoy a real authentic nihari that too asian style in london. Overwhelmed with flavours and soft and moist lamb a damn good experience
Absolutely awesome food at the best standard time and time again, have been coming here past 2/3 years with the mrs and its one of our favourites, so I thought its time to give them a review, a real taste of lahore with prices that are outstanding value for money, breakfast puri halwa and channa with a mango lassi is just to die for, the payye speciality meat amazing as it used to be a weekend only dish but such is the demand for it now that it is available everyday now, ur lucky to get this only on a Sunday In most restaurants, which speaks volumes for its quailty here. Succulent juicy seekh kebabs for starters. The standard meat or chicken karahis are just awesome in flavour and taste as u can really taste the freshness and the quality of meat/chicken is very high too as even some top name restaurants are put to shame by the quality of the meat/chicken and ingredients used here. The haleem or nihaari dishes will make u fee like u have just been transported thousands of miles away into one of the famous food joints in lahore
This place is an absolute hidden gem just off green street, the best part is the value for money and what your getting for the prices your paying. Service with a smile too, we travel all the way from lakeside in Essex regularly to get our medicated dose of Lahore, absolute addicted.
Would like to keep this place a secret but feel others deserve a taste too... A lot of places that become this popular usually start to slip in standards, but can 100% say this place is exactly the same taste no matter when you go. As i work on green street myself, I often get asked by foreigners or visitors wheres the best place to eat and i always direct them here away from the big name joints, they always come back and tell me how amazing it was and thank me, what this places lacks in decor and looks it makes up a million times more in taste and quality of food, and that's all that counts at the end of the day.
No external link for this little backstreet Nihari place down on Plashet Grove. But what Nihari lacks in marketing it makes up for with some awesome and pretty authentic food.
The accommodated nineteen of us with pleasure and we managed to order almost everything that was on offer on their basic menu; from the Haleem to the Kharai to the Nihari this place got its name from everything was damned fantastic.
And that's really all there is to it. A measly 6 quid per head got us more than enough grub to keep us happy; hell I'd come here every month if my arteries could take it. The next time you're in Green Street, make sure you check it out.
