One of my favourite places to eat in East Village, and one of my favourite places for Fish & Chips in the UK. We tried a new starter of Scallops, Chorizo, and Sweet Potato in a skillet tonight that was crazy good... I also always have to get the Lobster Bisque and the Mint, Pea, and Feta Fritters... didn't expect much of them, but they are surprisingly fresh and great to split with friends. (Two to three of us normally go and get a few starters and one order of Cod, Chips, and Mushy Peas to split... always plenty!)
The Curry Sauce is also a must, as anyone who has been will tell you.
They also have some baked/grilled healthier options that look divine, but it's so hard to not go for traditional Fish & Chips once you're there and get that good ole smell that only a good Fish & Chip shop can bring. :)
This is also a great place to pop buy for an order to take away; it's a smaller menu to take out, but all the basics are covered.
Long (partially told) story short, I eat here more than I should and am (obviously) thrilled we have them in East Village!
This is the best fish & chip shop I know. Always visit here when we can. Food is excellent, service great too. You must try the buttered samphire which is delicious.
We were a party of 4 plus a 5yr old. The food was absolutely amazing. Best seafood risotto ive had in a loooong time. Service was amazing the manager Lisa couldnt have been more friendly or accommodating if she tried. She made my son feel very welcome even taking his hand and taking him to meet the chef coz he wanted to say thank you. Nothing was too much for her. Super generous portions lovely atmosphere although it was hard to find at first a compkete hidden gem
