I went to Italia Uno with mother for a brunch. This is a really good place as it has a good and cozy atmosphere.
Some of the best dishes at this place were tandoori chicken and chicken salad with chicken wings.
I would highly recommend you guys to go to this outlet.
It doesn't get much more Italian than this. Wander in here of a lunchtime and you'll see a whole family at work: serving tables, cutting bread and grinding salami. The sandwiches are to die for, all about £4 with a fine array of meats, cheeses and oils packed in. Queues are long every lunchtime but once you've queued and placed your order, service is very swift. This is great if you're eating in, but if you're getting something to take away be aware that it's worth going at 12pm rather than 1pm to save 10-15 minutes of time you'll spend waiting to order. Great food, simple decor: far from the fanciest place to get a bite to eat, but certainly one of the most authentic.
This is a really cool, authentic Italian joint on Charlotte Street, just opposite the Saatchi building. You know it's the real deal because whenever there's a big Italian football game going on, the place overflows with passionate Italians. One lunchtime, when it was a little less busy, I wandered in for a sandwich. It was probably the freshest, most rounded cold sandwich I've had in London. The ingredients, I should add, were not just fresh, but of a very high quality. It really felt like I was in a little place in Rome. And, sure enough, I've been back with a vengeance. If you're a UCL student in particular, this is a perfect place to pick for a relatively cheap, very much delicious lunch.
Screw Flanders.
